Child Health And Baby Clinics

Tuesday 1.00 - 3.30pm

Your baby can be weighed and their development checked at the Willesden Centre for Health and Care every Wednesday and Thursday between 1.30 and 3.30pm. A health visitor is always present for chats and advice on such things as feeding problems.

Please make sure your baby is immunised.

Baby Immunisation Clinics

Tuesday afternoons; Wednesday mornings

Antenatal Clinic

Wednesday 1.30 - 3.30pm

This clinic is run by the doctor and midwives. We offer a full antenatal service. Please ask your doctor.

Well Woman And Family Planning Service

Smear Clinics

Nurses are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

Family Planning And Well Woman Clinics

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 1.00 - 2.45pm (doctor)
(Days may vary; please check with reception when booking)

We offer a full contraceptive service and this includes cervical smears, breast checks, prevention and general health advice. A doctor is present on Friday afternoons for additional advice including that relating to HRT/menopause.

Travel Immunisation And Routine Tetanus Immunisation

By appointment at the travel clinic.

These vaccinations are given by our practice nurses. For travel advice, book your appointment six weeks before travelling. (No card payment - cash only).

Health Checks

General health checks are done for new patients by the practice nurses or doctors. For more details please ask at reception.

Counselling

The practice has two counsellors who are available for patients in need of counselling support. This can be arranged through the doctor.

Chiropodist

Available by referral to Willesden Hospital to those who are eligible.

Minor Surgery

The practice undertakes minor operations including the removal of warts and cysts, and aspiration and injection of painful joints and tendons.

THE DENTIST

There is an NHS dentist in the Medical Centre who sees patients by appointment. Please telephone 020 8459 2626 for an appointment. If you have any queries about the practice, please contact the dentist direct.

THE PHARMACY

There is a pharmacy in the Medical Centre which will always be open in surgery hours. If you have any queries please telephone 020 8459 7210.

NON-NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICES

We do not see private patients. However, some services do fall outside the NHS remit and for these a charge may be made. These include BUPA/PPP forms, private medical certificates, signing passport applications and various special examinations for sport, school and employment. These should be arranged after surgery hours. A full list of these services is displayed opposite the registration desk, together with the current prices as recommended by the British Medical Association.
