Child Health And Baby Clinics
Tuesday 1.00 - 2.45pm
Your baby can be weighed and their development checked at the Willeseden Centre for Health and Care every Wednesday and Thursday between 1.30 and 3.30pm. A health visitor is always present for chats and advice on such things as feeding problems.
Please make sure your baby is immunised.

This clinic is run by the doctor and midwives. We
offer a full antenatal service. Please ask your doctor.
Well Woman And Family Planning Service

Nurses are available on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

We offer a full contraceptive service and this includes cervical smears, breast checks, prevention and general health advice. A doctor is present on Friday afternoons for additional advice including HRT/menopause.
Travel Immunisation And Routine
Tetanus Immunisation
By appointment at the travel clinic.
These vaccinations are given by our practice nurses in the treatment room sessions listed above. For travel advice, book your appointment six weeks before travelling.
Health Checks
General health checks are done Tuesday
morning, Wednesday all day and Friday morning for all new patients and are given
by the practice nurses, healthcare assistant or doctors. For more details please
ask at reception.
Counselling
The practice has two counsellors who
are available for patients who wish for counselling support. This can be arranged
through the doctor.
Chiropodist
Available by referral to Willesden Hospital
to those who are eligible.
Minor Surgery
The practice undertakes minor operations
including the removal of warts and cysts, and aspiration and injection of painful
joints and tendons.

AND EMERGENCIES
If you have an accident or are taken
ill away from home, go to the accident and emergency department of your nearest
hospital.

THE DENTIST
There is an NHS dentist in the
Medical Centre who sees patients by appointment. Please telephone 020

THE
PHARMACY
There is a pharmacy in the Medical
Centre which will always be open in surgery hours. If you have any queries please
telephone 020 8459 7210.
COMPUTERS
The practice has a primary
health care computer system which holds each patient's address, date of
birth and details of illnesses. It is used to recall patients who are due for
cervical smear follow-ups, senior citizen screening, vaccinations etc,as well
as providing prompts when reviews are recommended for chronic conditions/illnesses
such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension etc.

on site.
NON-NATIONAL
HEALTH SERVICES
We
do not see private patients. Some services fall outside the NHS and for these
a charge may be made. These include BUPA/PPP forms, private medical certificates,
signing passport applications and various special examinations for sport, school
and employment. These should be arranged after surgery hours. A full list of these
