Practice History

This National Health Service general practice was first established over 40 years ago by Dr Sklar who worked as a single-handed practitioner. Over the years it has grown to what it is today.

Our Aim

The aim of the practice team is to provide comprehensive general practice health care to patients. This means that we concern ourselves as much with improving and maintaining your health by prevention, as treating established illness.

Surgery Hours

The surgery office is open:

Monday to Friday	8.30am - 6.00pm
Thursday	8.30am - 5.00pm	(1.00 - 5.00pm for administration only - not open to the public)
Saturday	Closed
Sunday	Closed

Practice News and Notices

Afternoon Appointments1.00pm to 2.50pm

Afternoon appointments are available on 2 days of the week. Appointment times for these are 1pm to 2.50pm. Please speak to a receptionist.

Late Evening Appointments * 6.30pm - 7.00pm

Late evening appointments are available on a Tuesday and a Wednesday and are available for booking on the day. Please speak to a receptionist.

Emergency Appointment

If you have an emergency and you cannot get an appointment on the same day, ask the receptionist if you can speak to the doctor on call. The doctor will either give advice or arrange an appointment.

Telephone Advice

If no appointments are available, and you have been offered to speak to the doctor on call/standby. The reception staff will take your contact number, your name will be added to the doctors list and the doctor will call you back to talk to you to help decide the best way to manage the problem.

Home Visit

If you are too unwell to come to the surgery and need urgent care then call and speak to the receptionist who will take your details and arrange for the doctor to call you back.

Out of Hours Services

Please call, the surgery number and following the instruction given from the automated answering machine.
