HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TELEPHONE ADVICE?

If no appointments are available and you have been offered the opportunity to speak to the doctor on call/standby, the reception staff will take your contact number. Your name will be added to the doctors list and the doctor will call you back to talk to you to help decide the best way to manage the problem.

HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Routine appointments

Routine appointments can be made for the same day by ringing the surgery from 8.30am.
One week advance appointments are made by ringing from 9.30am Monday to Friday. You can make an appointment to see any doctor you choose but it is better to see the same doctor through the course of each illness.

Morning Appointments 9.00am – 12 noon

You can phone the surgery on the day of your choice and book a same day appointment. Phone lines are open at 8.30am. Please remember that these appointments go very quickly.
Should this happen and you cannot wait till the next day, then please ask the receptionist for other alternative options that are available.

Afternoon Appointments 1.00 – 2.50pm

Afternoon appointments are available on two days of the week. Appointment times for these are 1.00pm to 2.50pm. Please speak to a receptionist.

Evening Appointments 4.00 – 5.50pm

Evening surgery is only for pre-booked appointments, one week in advance.

Late Evening Appointments 6.30 – 7.00pm (Extended Hours)

We have now extended our surgery hours in the evenings. On Tuesday and Wednesdays you will be able to make an appointment to see the doctor after 6.30pm. These appointments are pre-bookable on the day, they are not for emergencies, therefore, if you require emergency assistance, or a visit during these extended times, then you will need to contact the out-of-hours service as normal by dialling 020 8459 5550 and following the instructions given.

Emergency Appointments

If you have an emergency and you cannot get an appointment on the same day, ask the receptionist if you can speak to the doctor on call. The doctor will either give advice or arrange an appointment.

If you find that you cannot attend for an appointment, please telephone and cancel, even at short notice, as we can often offer your cancelled appointment to somebody else. Repeat prescriptions, medical forms and certificates can only be dealt with through a booked appointment. You will not be seen as an emergency appointment.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

If you are too unwell to come to the surgery and need urgent care, call and speak to the reception who will take your details and arrange for the doctor to call you back.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

The results of tests take about one week. Please wait this period before coming to the surgery and arranging to see a doctor. Some results can, however, be passed over the phone - ring the surgery between 2.00 and 3.00pm on Monday (8459 5550) or Wednesday (8459 9366), and ask to speak to a nurse.

HOW DO I...
CHANGE MY DETAILS?

Please notify us of any change of address or telephone numbers so that we can bring your records up to date. You will need proof of your new address, so please bring a copy of a utility bill in your name.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?

We offer a repeat prescription facility at the discretion of the doctors. Allow 48 hours from date of request using the official repeat prescription form. Patients requiring a review of their medication will not be seen as an emergency appointment.

Please note: if you see a doctor as an emergency, only two weeks' supply will be given.
